What this document is, and what it is not
A statement is a snapshot of one period, not a contract and not a live view of risk.
A statement is a period report. It records what a ledger did between two dates, for one client, on one facility. It is not the credit agreement, not a live mark-to-market, and not a forecast. Those three absences are the whole subject of this track.
The page above is invented. Halden & Wren Private Credit, Northreed Holdings LLC, account HW-7721-4408-19, facility HW-SB-44107: every name, every holding, and every figure was built so the arithmetic can be recomputed by hand. The product line calls it a securities-backed demand facility. The period is 1 March 2026 to 31 March 2026, thirty-one days. The statement date is 2 April 2026. Those facts describe one closed month. They do not describe 15 March, and they do not describe April.
What the document does well is close a period. Opening drawn balance, two interest legs, a closing drawn balance, a positions table marked at 31 March, a blended advance rate, an LTV on market value at close, a maintenance threshold. Each of those is a fact about the window just ended. What it does not do is run the maintenance test as a dollar trigger, print headroom, or show the highest LTV reached inside the month. A snapshot cannot show a path.
Three things this page is not, however complete it looks:
- It is not the agreement. Advance rates, the demand right, and the day-count convention originate elsewhere.
- It is not a continuous feed. The lender's system repriced these holdings on days the page never mentions.
- It is not a risk report. Trigger value and headroom are computable from what is printed and are not themselves printed.
Read the statement as a closed-period ledger. The rest of this track is the work of seeing which numbers on it are observations, which are policy, and which of the numbers that matter never appear.
Key terms
- Statement
- A document that reports one facility over one closed period. It summarises a ledger; it does not replace the agreement or a live risk system.
- Period
- The inclusive date range the interest and balance figures cover. On this page, 1 March 2026 to 31 March 2026.
- Snapshot
- A report of values at one instant, usually period-end. It cannot show the highest loan-to-value reached on a day inside the window.

The page closes March. It does not state how close the facility came to a call, on any day, in any week of the month.
